When I was little I was very curious. Everything in the world was a question to me and I believed it could be solved with an answer as long as I looked hard enough. I was with my mom at an arts festival when I was about five or six. Everything there intrigued my eyes and I could help but wander away from my mom. After my mom found me she was so upset and angry that tears flowed through my eyes like Nigra falls. After I calmed down my mom explained to me she wasn’t mad at me but she was so scared of losing me, she told me that a scared mommy was an angry mommy. That saying always stuck with me when I grew up. My mom still oscasilly says it when I get in trouble, it something that explains that she isn’t really mad she is just worried.

Tell the truth, you will get in bigge trouble if you lie
When I was little one main lesson was always repeated: tell the truth. I always found myself in trouble, no matter what I did. One Easter after the egg hunt, my mom scolded me for eating so much chocolate to be so early in the morning. I said, “I didn’t eat any chocolate!” Little did I know I had a chocolate circle going around my entire mouth. My mom always taught me that I would get in more trouble no matter what I did if I just told the truth up front. This is used as a life lesson to be because through growing up knowing to tell the truth I was able to be a reliable person.
Friends Come & go, but family is forever
Family you can’t live with them, and you can’t live without them. When I was growing up I was so mad when I was told that I couldn’t go somewhere because I was never spending time at home. When I was 13 the last thing I wanted to do is hang out with my family. Now I don’t know where I would be with them. When I feel so angry there is someone with an open ear. The comfort in knowing you always have someone to fall back on lets you take bigger steps into your future
Your Parents love you no matter what kind of trouble you are in
Many times when my parents and I fought the last I thought was that is they loved me and only want the best from me, no you think in their mind it is like UFC cycle 15. When I was about 7 or 8 my best friend Aleecia was over. We being girls loved to paint our nails and thought it would be the best idea to paint an entire index card; on my laptop. So here we are painting away having the time of our lives when my mom walks it and her chin drops to the floor. I can’t explain how much screaming and crying there was, but after I shed about my weight in tears that night my mom came in and apologized for acting the way she did. She explained she was just so angry it took over her whole body and that she stilled loved me no matter what I did.
Do what you love, love what you do
My name is Deanna and I have an obsession with cupcakes, it is plain and simple. For about a year know ever since my parents lat year for Christmas gave me my first how to make fun cupcakes books, I went crazy for cupcakes. The creativity in my veins started to flow and it hasn’t stopped yet. I can always frost a cupcakes, something about the light squeeze of a piping bag in my hands brings me so much joy. When I expressed this to my family, espicilly my dad when I told him if he won the lottery I want to open up a cupcake shop, they didn’t blow it off and say “Deanna grow up.” They believed in me and encouraged me to do something that made me happy. To have that kind of support is like having a million dollars sometimes and to know that whatever I aspire to be will be supported by my family brings me much hope for the fact that I know I will always have people standing by my side.
Mrs.Niki
A little over two years ago, Bigshow All-Star Cheerleading lost someone very dear to their hearts. Cailtin A Buemi was 16 years old when she died in a single car motor vehicle accident due to what they think was texting and driving. It was a sad season for the entire gym but what hit it home was that God could not have chosen a more loving and selfless girl to go up to Heaven with him. Mrs. Niki, her mom was heartbroken and still is and will always be, losing her first born was a tragedy. Instead of never coming out of her room though, she created the Annual Cailtin A. Buemi golf tournament; a golf tournament where all the proceeds go to a bank where it is split into 5 parts creating 5 different scholarships presented at the end of the school year. Mrs. Niki has taught me that even when the worst strikes, you can pull through and get to the rainbow.R.I.P. CAB<3
Teal
Who would ever think you could learn something meaningful from someone younger than you? Whoever thought that is wrong. Teal, my best friend, who can’t be taken seriously for anything actually taught me one the most meaningful things in 8th grade. When I first heard about her charity she created I was interested but after I first experienced it, I never felt so selfless before. Walking 33 miles in the sand really changes the way you feel about your life and how much you are privileged with. Through this “Walk for Wheelchairs” I was taught not only to be selfless but also the true meaning of having the blessing of the simple things in life.

Demi
It is hard to think back 4 or 5 years ago when my sister and I couldn’t stand to be in the same room, not to mention friends. When she was 16 and I was 12, the apocalypse would take place every time we were in the same room. Now I call her one of my best friends and I have no idea what I would do without her. I think once she moved out for about six months that is when we got the closet. It is like the saying” you don’t know what you have until it’s gone.” We didn’t know how much we depended on each other until we didn’t live together anymore. She taught the importance of friendship, and being there for someone.
16 Years
16 years. 16 years of learning. 16 years of observing. 16 years of remembering. 16 years of forgetting. 16 years of friendship. 16 years of heartbreak. Now I have 16 years of knowledge and experiences to share. I am a kinesthetic learner, I am a do-er. I grew up not playing by the rules, I pushed limits and exceeded boundaries. Everything was a question, that I could find an answer too. With these ideas and values I came with some crossroads in my life path; some good, some bad. Through it all I think I turned out great, well at least for 16 years of my life I did. With the rate I am going, I believe that threw the life lessons taught to me and my teachers teaching me new things, I have a bright future ahead.
